QR matching & review

After the upload, Pixalo recognises the card photos and splits the shots into sections. Each section belongs to a child or a group. You only check what is open.

At a glance

  • No face recognition, no app, no clock. Just the order and the cards.
  • You assign open cases with a few clicks, even with the keyboard.
  • What you assign by hand is never overwritten by a later upload.

How matching works

Pixalo reads the photos in the order of photo day.

  • A card photo opens a section. All following photos belong to it until the next card.
  • The group card opens a group section. All children of the group see these photos.
  • Photos before the first card end up under Unsorted photos.
  • Card photos themselves never appear in a gallery. They stay in the dashboard.
  • What you assign by hand stays that way. Even if you upload more photos later.

Photo order

Pixalo orders the photos by your camera's capture time. If the QR cards then end up clearly in the wrong place, for example because they were photographed later or with another device, Pixalo uses the order of the file names. Once photos are assigned and visible, Pixalo no longer switches the order by itself. If Pixalo is unsure, you see a notice. Under "Order" you can always choose between capture time and file name yourself. Photos you assigned yourself stay as they are.

Assign photos

The review opens with the first open shot. You see the photo large, next to it the reason and the film strip.

  1. 1Tick: adds the photo to the selection. Several photos at once are possible.
  2. 2Class: narrows the list.
  3. 3Target: a child or the class group photo. Typing searches.
  4. 4Assign: the photo moves to the right gallery right away.
  5. 5Move to unsorted: for anything filed wrongly. It waits there safely.
