The payment methods

Under Settings › Payments each method has a card. Methods that are set up show Connected or Set up and an Active switch.

  1. 1PayPal: Connect PayPal takes you to PayPal. Check connection helps if the return did not work.
  2. 2Stripe: once connected it shows Connected with your account ID.
  3. 3Prepayment / Bank Transfer: your bank details. Parents see them after ordering.
  4. 4Pay on pickup (cash): your pickup details with address and opening hours.
  5. 5Order & Default in Checkout: the order in which parents see the methods and which one is preselected.

PayPal

You sign in with your PayPal business account and come back. Then you can switch on Pay Later. PayPal then also offers paying later or in instalments.

Stripe

Connect Stripe opens Stripe. You use an existing account or create one. Parents then pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Prepayment / Bank Transfer

Enter bank name, account holder, IBAN and BIC. Parents see the details with the order number as the payment reference on the confirmation page and in the email.

Pay on pickup (cash)

Parents order online and pay cash when they collect. The pickup details appear in checkout and in the email. Good for nurseries and schools with a handout day.

Active, order and pre-selection

If several methods are set up, you control the checkout at the bottom of the page:

  • Active: off means the method is missing from checkout. The connection stays.
  • Order: the arrows move a method up or down.
  • Default: the star makes a method the pre-selection. With No pre-selection parents choose themselves.

Cash only on handout day

Switch cash on only when there is a handout date. For the rest of the year it stays off, and the pickup details stay saved.

Disconnect and refund

Frequently asked questions

Which methods should I offer?

At least one online payment, PayPal or Stripe. Then families get their downloads immediately. Bank transfer is a good addition for families without a card.

I connected PayPal, but it does not show here. What now?

Click Check connection. Pixalo asks PayPal directly. If PayPal does not report a finished connection yet, complete the onboarding at PayPal.

How do I confirm a bank transfer?

In the order with Mark as Completed. That creates the invoice and the confirmation email. See Orders.

Which account does the money go to?

Always your own: your PayPal account, your Stripe account or your bank account. Pixalo has no access to it.
