Schools & clients
A client is the institution or person you photograph for: the kindergarten, the school, the club, the family. Every shoot belongs to a client. Create once. Pick again and again. Never retype.
At a glance
- A client can have any number of shoots, for example the school photos every year.
- Only the name is required. Pixalo needs the address when your photo lab delivers to the school.
- Clients have no login of their own. Parents and customers reach their photos with access codes.
Under Clients you see every institution and customer, sorted alphabetically. Search finds name, city, email and type and filters as you type.

- 3Table: type, address, contact and creation date. Click a row to open the client for editing.
One client, many shoots
The form has three parts: general information, address and contact person. Only the name is required, the address matters for delivery by the lab.
- 1Name: the institution’s name, for example “Lindenpark Primary School”. It is printed on the cards.
- 2Type: school, kindergarten, club, company, individual client or other.
- 3Country: sets the address fields. Germany has federal states, Switzerland has cantons.
- 4Address: street, postcode and city. Pixalo checks the postcode for the country.
- 5Contact Person: name, email and phone of your contact. All optional.

The type is a label
You do not need to visit the list first. When creating a shoot, create the client with Create New right in the same window.
- 1Name: required. If the search finds nothing, Pixalo takes over the name you searched for.
- 2Type: school, kindergarten, sports club, company, individual client or other.
- 3Create: creates the client and selects it for the shoot.
Complete it later
Pixalo uses the client’s data in exactly these places:
Cards
The name appears on the access cards and on the consent form, for example “Photo day: Sunshine Kindergarten”.
Photo lab
If your lab delivers to the school, address and contact are the delivery address. If something is missing, the Photo lab area shows a notice with a link to complete it.
Finding shoots
Search in Events & Shoots also finds shoots by the client’s name.
No login of their own
Clicking a client opens the same form with the saved details.
- Change: adjust the fields and save. Existing shoots show the new name right away.
- Delete: with the bin icon in the list, after a safety check.
- Team: photographers can create and edit clients, but not delete them.
Only deletable without shoots
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a new client every year?
No. Create a new shoot every year and pick the same client.
Why can I not delete a client?
Because shoots still belong to it. Once no shoot belongs to it any more, you can delete it.
Can the school see anything in Pixalo?
No. Clients have no access. Parents register their children through Online sign-up and see photos with their code.
Do I create families as clients too?
Yes, with the type Individual Client. For a family shoot you then pick the order type Family with a Client gallery.
