Privacy — Pixalo Photo Toolkit
Last updated: September 2026 · Version 1.0 · Applies to the browser extension, not to pixalo.de
The short version
- The extension collects nothing and sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
- Your photos are processed on your computer only.
- No account, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising identifiers.
- The extension requests no access to the websites you visit.
1. What the extension does
Pixalo Photo Toolkit prepares photos for delivery: resize, compress, convert, rename, watermark, clean metadata, then export as a ZIP file or into a folder you choose.
2. What data we collect
None. In particular there is:
- no user account and no sign-in
- no analytics or statistics service
- no tracking and no advertising identifiers
- no crash or error reporting service
- no sharing with third parties
3. Where your photos are processed
Entirely inside your browser, on your computer, using your browser's own image engine. Your photos are never uploaded.
This is enforced technically: the extension's Content Security Policy sets connect-src 'none', so the browser blocks every network request the extension could make. The extension also requests no website access permissions.
4. What is stored on your device
Only your own settings: interface language, appearance, how many photos are processed at the same time, and whether you dismissed the Pixalo tip. They are kept in the browser's extension storage on your computer and are never transmitted. Removing the extension removes them.
5. Permissions and why they are needed
- storage — to remember your settings on your computer.
- downloads — to save the prepared ZIP file to your computer.
The extension requests no access to the websites you visit, your browsing history, your accounts, your camera, your location or your clipboard.
6. Links to Pixalo
The extension contains links to pixalo.de. Following a link opens our website in a new tab; from that point our website's privacy policy applies. No data about you is sent when you do not click.
7. Changes
If a future version adds an optional feature that sends photos to a Pixalo account, it will be opt-in, it will be described here before release, and the extension will ask for your permission.
8. Controller and contact
The website and the platform have their own policy: Pixalo privacy policy
